Unident AB acquires Dental Systems in Finland

PRESS RELEASE: Helsinki/Falkenberg, 15 October 2019. Unident acquires the Finnish company Dental Systems. Dental Systems is an equipment and service provider for the dental industry. The acquisition will strengthen Unident’s position on the Finnish market.

Unident is a leading Nordic Dental services company with a full product offering ranging from dental consumables and equipment to digital solutions, labs and related offerings.

Unident’s Finnish branch was established in 2018 and has since exhibited very strong growth.

Dental Systems has a long and successful track record in the Finnish market being founded back in 1977. The company has a well-established sales and service organisation in Finland, which will give Unident a better access to the Finnish dental industry.

Both parties have agreed to not disclose any information concerning the terms of the transaction.

Unident has developed the professional dental care with innovative solutions since 1992. Today, it is the Nordic region's third largest dental trade dealer offering everything a dental clinic needs and wants in the form of dental consumables, equipment, furnishings and related service and support. Unident has operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland and is headquartered in Falkenberg, Sweden. The company has some 170 employees, and a turnover of approx. SEK 400 M.

Dental Systems was founded in 1977 by the Nick family and are active in dental equipment, consumables and supplies and service on dental units and other equipment. The Dental Systems Oy has its headquarters in Helsinki and employs 15 people.
